Expert Rockeries in Premier Outdoor Spaces In The PNW

Rockeries are one of the most practical landscape construction solutions for Snohomish County properties. Many lots here sit on sloped terrain with clay-heavy soils that shift and saturate during the region's wet seasons. Without proper slope management, that soil erodes, pools water, and undercuts planting beds or structures. A well-built rockery holds the slope in place using natural stone stacked and fitted to work with the grade of your land. At Summit Landscape Company Snohomish, we assess each site before any stone is placed. We read the slope, check drainage paths, and plan the layout so water moves away from your home rather than toward it. We build rockeries for front yards, back slopes, terraced garden areas, and property edges throughout Snohomish County. The result is a stable, low-maintenance structure that fits the natural look of the Pacific Northwest and adds real function to your outdoor space. Call us to schedule a site visit.

Rockeries FAQ

Common questions about rockeries in Premier Outdoor Spaces in the PNW.

Yes, we build rockeries on steep slopes throughout Snohomish County. We assess the grade and drainage before placing any stone to make sure the structure holds long-term.

A rockery uses large natural boulders stacked and fitted together without mortar, which is a traditional Pacific Northwest method. It holds soil and manages slope just like a retaining wall but blends into the natural landscape.

A properly built rockery redirects water flow away from problem areas in your yard. We plan drainage paths during the site assessment so water moves where it should.

Yes, we can design your rockery with planting pockets built into the stone layout. This works well for Snohomish County yards where homeowners want both structure and greenery.

Rockeries work well in front yards across Snohomish County, especially on lots with a drop from the street to the home. They hold the grade, frame the property line, and add clean structure to the front of your home.

Call us to schedule a site visit at your Snohomish County property. We look at the slope, soil, and drainage before recommending a rockery layout that fits your yard.

Bob and his team planted a row of privacy hedges along my fence. He was responsive, knowledgeable and his crew did a great job with the trees. Would recommend!

Always thrilled when Bob works on my yard! It's hard to find good landscapers in this area. I have had several no-shows in the past couple of years. Bob will not do that. He shows up, is polite, and works hard!

This company is incredible! I literally had just moved into new house, next to my daughter’s… saw a snake .. looked online for companies who did snake fencing. Found “Summit.” Bob Delong answered and came out next day! I have a little dog, (and am from east coast ) so, having an issue with snakes foreign to me! To sum it up- fabulous experience! Not only did he do impeccable fencing around my yard , and my daughters- Bob and his workers buoyed up 2 areas of my existing fence with supports and cement. His team is very supportive and considerate. And Bob is very knowledgeable and kind. Didn’t expect another expense like this at this time, however, it’s the best investment I have made in this move so far.

Love Bob and all the work he has done on my yard! He has access to incredible plants and trees I would normally have trouble getting myself. Everything he has planted has matured and grown to be beautiful additions to my yard! Highly recommend his business!

Great company, fast, reliable, and answered all my questions. We had to put a lot of faith into Bobby, but he nailed it. My wife is so happy!
